State Basketball Tournament continues without Berthoud

Girls Basketball The basketball season is over for Berthoud. We can certainly be proud of the teams. They played hard and provided exciting entertainment for the fans and both ranked high enough to be in the CHSAA State Tournament. There have been few surprises in the results. The Lady Spartans played a powerful Pueblo East team last night. Pueblo East was seeded number 3 and showed why they earned that ranking by defeating Berthoud 50-37. The Berthoud Spartans (seeded #8) host  #9 Pueblo County on Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. The winner of that game faces the Sierra Stallions in Colorado Springs on Friday, Feb 26. The Stallions own a 21-2 record and are the #1 seed in the bracket.
