Carrie Jean Hyde Marr passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 16, 2011. She was born June 18, 1939, to Wayne and Gladys Hyde and was reared on the family ranch in Loup County, Neb. She received a Bachelor of Arts and Education from Kearney State College, Kearney, Neb., and a Master of Education from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colo. She married Max M. Flag Dedication at Berthoud High School A piece of local history will be dedicated in the Berthoud High School auditorium on Friday, January 21, at 10:00 a.m. A 48-star American flag, which used to hang in the auditorium at the old Berthoud Junior-Senior High School, was recently returned to the high school after a 48-year absence. Federal Judge rejects Miller’s challenges in
U.S. District Judge Ralph Biestline today rejected all of Joe Millers claims of election fraud. He also lifted the restraining order on certifying Lisa Murkowski as the winner of the Alaska election. It has been a long road as the Alaskan courts had already ruled against Miller and the federal court said he raised no issues applicable to the federal courts.
