Shirley Ann Kouns January 2, 1949 – January 9, 2011 Shirley Ann Kouns passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital. She was born January 2, 1949 in North Platte Nebraska. By 1956 her parents, William and Gay Stoddard moved to Denver where she would grow up, attending Abe Lincoln High School. Federal Judge rejects Miller’s challenges in
U.S. District Judge Ralph Biestline today rejected all of Joe Millers claims of election fraud. He also lifted the restraining order on certifying Lisa Murkowski as the winner of the Alaska election. It has been a long road as the Alaskan courts had already ruled against Miller and the federal court said he raised no issues applicable to the federal courts. Obituary: Marjorie Craig
Marjorie Craig passed away on Dec. 23, 2010 at the age of 76. She was born Marjorie Nadine Yeager, March 25, 1934 in Longmont, Colorado to William Yeager and Katie Burbach-Yeager. She was the youngest of six children. Her father farmed land south east of Berthoud for 17 years, and this is where Marjorie lived while she was growing up. Ruth B. Luce of Longmont, Colo. died December 23, 2010 at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont. She was 86. Ruth was born on September 6, 1924 in Stratford, Connecticut to Hugh S. and Margaret (Spencer) Bailie. After dating all throughout high school, Ruth married William Raymond “Bill” Luce in Elkton, Maryland on February 27, 1943. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death in 2006.
