Change in items requested and hours of operation at Donation Center
Thanks to the generosity of many in our community, the City’s Donation Center is now chock-full of useful household items, furniture and dry goods that are being disseminated to area flood survivors.
Beginning Monday, September 30th, residents who want to donate are asked to make a monetary donation rather than bringing in dry goods and furniture, etc. Potable water will also continue to be accepted. The Donation Center will gradually ratchet down its operation as the need for this support tapers off.
Donation Center hours will also change and decrease over time, also based on the need of those it is serving.
New Donation Center Hours as of Monday September 30th:
- Donations accepted Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Donations accepted on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Donation Center will be closed Saturday Oct. 5 for a previously scheduled event.
No changes in hours of operation for the Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) have been made.
The DAC continues to operate:
• 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Sunday: noon to 4 p.m.
Proof of residence within the flood zone is required.
