Date: April 6, 2011
Residents that left their homes last night as part of the precautionary evacuation will be allowed to return to their homes this morning at 10:00 a.m. Deputies will reopen the roads to residents only beginning at 10:00 a.m. The current roadblocks will continue to operate for the foreseeable future.
Residents are asked to exercise caution when returning home and drive carefully. There is an increased number of emergency vehicles on the roads and with the latest precipitation the roads may be slippery.
Residents are reminded to limit travel on the roads during the operational shifts at 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The morning’s fire update will be released from Incident Command shortly. Despite the precipitation, the fire remains active and residents should remain prepared and vigilant.
