Friday, Jan. 1, 2010

BFPD responded to a propane leak in a structure on So. County Road 31. The resident owner was not on scene. The fire crew searched the property and determined there were no hazards present.


Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010

BFPD assisted with a medical call for a patient having chest pains on Fourth St.


Sunday, Jan. 3, 2009

BFPD responded to Highway 287 for a reported outside fire in the Riverglen area.  After investigation in the area, nothing was found.


Tuesday, Jan. 5

BFPD responded to a reported sulfur odor in a commercial building on Turner Ave. Upon arrival and after investigation, nothing was found.


Wednesday, Jan. 6

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Ninth St. for a person complaining of abdominal pain and a migraine headache. The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to a one vehicle accident on Interstate 25 @ mile marker 252. There was minimal damage and no injuries.

BFPD assisted with a medical call at the Berthoud Living Center. The patient was transported.


Thursday, Jan. 7

BFPD responded to a reported gas leak on Weld County Road 40.5. After investigating, a small leak was located inside the residence. A propane company was notified.


Friday, Jan. 8

BFPD responded with Loveland Fire to a reported structure fire at Campion Academy. Upon arrival to the scene there was heavy smoke showing from a small single story house. The Berthoud Fire crew checked for extension of the fire in the ceiling areas and assisted with salvage and overhaul of the valuables inside the residence.

BFPD responded to a residential fire alarm on Foothills Dr.  This was a false alarm due to a faulty smoke detector.

BFPD responded to a reported rollover accident in the area of Schofield and County Road 8.  There were no injuries.


Monday, Jan. 11

2010- BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Lake Hollow. After checking the residence with the monitor there was no odor found.  The sensor on the detector was determined to be faulty and the owner was advised to replace the detector.


Thursday, Jan. 14

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Navajo Place for a person who had fallen. The patient was transported.


Saturday, Jan. 16

BFPD was called to a Dive Rescue for a dog on the ice. It was determined the animal was not in danger and the crew checked the ice and shore for a possible endangered owner; none was found.

BFPD responded to a vehicle fire on Breckenridge Dr. Upon arrival the owner had extinguished the fire.

BFPD responded to a medical call for seizures on Weld County Road 40.5. The patient was found in the passenger side of his vehicle.  The patient was transported.


Sunday, Jan. 17

BFPD responded to a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 287 and County Road 17. There was minor to moderate damage to the vehicles.  One patient was injured and transported.


Monday, Jan. 18

BFPD responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 25 near the Berthoud Park and Ride.  This was a two vehicle accident with heavy damage to both vehicles.  Three patients were transported.


Tuesday, Jan. 19

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Eighth Street for a person having chest pain.  The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Fourth Street.  The patient was transported.


Wednesday, Jan. 20

BFPD responded to Eighth Street. for an unconscious patient.  The patient was transported.

BFPD responded to E. Highway 56 for an activated fire alarm in a residence.  This was a false alarm.


Thursday, Jan. 21

BFPD responded to a reported wild land fire west of Malibu Drive.  After investigating, this was determined to be smoke from a prescribed burn near Estes Park.

BFPD responded to a carbon monoxide detector alarm on Michigan Avenue. After investigation, nothing was found and the detector was reset.


Friday, Jan. 22

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Wagonwheel Road.  The patient was transported.


Saturday, Jan. 23

BFPD assisted with a medical call on Hubble Street.  The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call for diabetic problems on Bimson Avenue.  The patient was transported.


Sunday, Jan. 24

BFPD assisted with a medical call for seizures on Wales Drive.  The patient was transported.

BFPD assisted with a medical call on E. County Road 4 for a patient having chest pain.  The patient was transported.


Tuesday, Jan. 26

BFPD assisted with a medical call for seizures on Redwood Circle.  The patient was transported.


Wednesday, Jan. 27

BFPD responded with Loveland Fire to a rollover vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road 14 and County Road 21.  An SUV had flipped over its front bumper landing in a frozen ditch.  The driver was able to be rescued through the window.  Loveland Fire and TVEMS took over the patient care and Berthoud Fire returned to the District.


Thursday, Jan. 28

BFPD responded to a two vehicle accident on Meadowlark Lane.  There was minor damage to the vehicle and there were no injuries.


Friday, Jan. 29

BFPD assisted with a medical call for seizures on 10th Street.  The patient was transported.
