Fourth Annual Northern Colorado Veterans STAND-DOWN

The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Veteran Employment Programs is hosting the fourth annual Northern Colorado Veterans STAND-DOWN, Wednesday, November 10, 9 a.m -1 p.m. at Catholic Charities-The Mission, 460 Linden Center Drive, Fort Collins. It will be a day for any veteran that may be in need, may be homeless, potentially homeless, or who would just like to join other veterans for the day.

The services provided for the day will include a continental breakfast served at 9 a.m. and a hot meal served from noon to 1 p.m.  Also provided will be clothing items and basic living essentials, basic dental services, flu shots, assistance with VA eligibility claims, haircuts, job placement services, bicycle repair, watch repair, VA application and DD214 application assistance, and anyone in need of referral to supportive services.  All services will be provided free of charge.

Various organizations will be on site including the VA Hospital, Colorado Department of Labor, Local VFW’s and American Legions, Salvation Army, United Way, Larimer County Veteran Services, Larimer County Workforce Center Veterans Unit, as well as various other veteran organizations.
