If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies

The Colorado Natural Heritage Program and Larimer County Department of Natural Resources need your help to catch butterflies! Volunteers must be willing to hike on uneven terrain, identify and catch specific butterflies, and deliver them to the Natural Resources office.

This rare opportunity is taking place in order to observe the Hop-feeding Azure, Ottoe Skipper, Mottled Dusky Wing, Simius Roadside Skipper, and Snow’s Skipper near Horsetooth Mountain Open Space and Lory State Park.

Call soon as this opportunity is sure to fill up fast!

For more information please contact CJ Cullins, Volunteer Program Coordinator, 679-4552.
