Justin Smith most qualified candidate for Sheriff

First, I’d like to thank Mr. Bruning for 6 years of military service. Next, I’d like to thank Major Justin Smith for his 20+ years of Law Enforcement experience. Justin’s credentials for the position of Larimer County Sheriff far outweigh those claimed by Mr. Bruning. Of course, if Mr. Bruning would decide to let people know what experience he had to offer from the missing 19 years of his life, we might be able to look at his experience levels differently. To us, and many citizens of Larimer County, when a person refuses to be up-front about 19 years of their life, it looks like there’s something to hide.

I’ve personally been involved in Emergency Services for over 35 years. From my own experiences, I’m shocked and totally appalled that Mr. Bruning in any way considers himself qualified for the Sheriff’s position. He seems to have no concept of the realities of what is needed to protect the citizens of Larimer County and those who would be his employees as Sheriff. Mr. Bruning has consistently made it sound like he only cares about the financial bottom line of the department, instead of giving due consideration to the safety and needs of the Deputies when they are putting their lives on the line every day for the citizens of Larimer County. I fear for everyone’s safety if he becomes Sheriff!

If the citizens do their homework and look at the gaping distances between Mr. Bruning’s job history and Justin Smith’s, it should be clear that Justin Smith is the most qualified to be the next Larimer County Sheriff. Because of the great amount of on-the-job experience and length of commitment to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Dept., please join our family in voting for Major Justin Smith.
