Larimer County, Colorado – The Board of Larimer County Commissioners (BCC) today adopted the 2011 Larimer County Budget, revised the 2010 budget and certified Mill Levies for 2011.
The 2011 Budget is $310,583,481, a $15,222 change from the budget proposed on October 15, 2010. The change reflects departmental budget changes as well as increased revenues from new improvement districts.
The 2010 revised budget is $320,789,078 and increase of $30,149,477 over the original 2010 budget. The increase is a reflection of changes in several areas. Among them are increased grant revenues, added projects, and moving the alternative sentencing unit from public safety to the criminal justice services division.
The Board also certified the 2011 Mill Levy for Larimer County today at 22.524 mills. The Mill Levy is made up of three components: a 21.571 operating mill levy for Larimer County which hasn’t changed since 1992; a 0.750 mill levy dedicated to Foothills Gateway; and a 0.203 mill levy which reflects abatements and refunds and varies each year.
