Brain Gym® Workshop
Friday September 17
Learn 26 amazing movements with Diane Malik, M.A. a licensed Brain Gym® teacher.
Brain Gym® is a combination of simple movements to help promote
memory, reading, writing, speaking, energy and so much more. It has also helped
dyslexia, ADHD, Alzheimer’s and even sports professionals achieve better results.
The 26 Brain Gym® activities create healthy neural pathways in our brains and bodies. These activities are similar to early developmental reflexes such as crawling that babies automatically do to create the cross lateral neural pathways they need to grow and develop new skills.
When we have healthy cross lateral neural pathways the right side of our brain controls the left side of our body and the left side of our brain controls the right side of our body the way they are supposed to.
This helps people because we are able to learn more easily, relax and think more clearly.
The Brain Gym® activities also relax reflexes that are “stuck on,” such as the ‘freeze, fight or flight’ reflex and the grasping reflex. These reflexes can be chronically stuck on in people of any age, especially if a person is stressed, has a learning disability, has a chemical imbalance in his or her brain or if he or she is doing something that is too hard for him or her. Brain Gym® helps people of all ages manage stress more easily.
Brain Gym® also improves how well our brain and body work when we hold or massage parts of our head and body. This improves our circulation and helps our spinal column, muscles, tendons, bones, organs and brain work better. This also makes additional healthy neural connections and helps the bioelectrical energy in our brain and body move the way it is supposed to move. This helps us relax and think more clearly.
Diane Malik, M.A. has been a licensed Brain Gym® teacher since 2002. On September 17, 2010 she will be teaching the 26 Brain Gym® 101 activities at the Berthoud Community Library. These activities are easy to learn and fun to do. You will be able to do them at home after the class. Diane has an office in Longmont, Colorado where she teaches Brain Gym® 101 classes and workshops.
