Mountain View able to take advantage of Berthoud turnovers in 3A Northern win

BERTHOUD — The ability to capitalize on a turnover kept the Berthoud High School football team in contention for an upset against Mountain View on Friday night at Marr Field.

Giving the ball away too many times is what prevented the upheaval to actually occur.

Needing a win to keep in the playoff hunt out of the Class 3A Northern Conference, Mountain View scored touchdowns after two Berthoud turnovers — one in each half — to pull away, 22-13, in a tight league tilt. Tanner Stark led the offense with 163 yards, but it was scores from Connor Logan, Jeremiah Clymer and Josh Sandin to move the Lions to 6-3 overall and 3-1 in the league. READ MORE
