Obituary: Alma Wilson


[1]Alma Wilson, 84, of Berthoud, died September 23, 2010 at Loveland Good Samaritan Health Care Center. She was born April 11, 1926 in Berthoud, Colorado to Peter and Margaret (Deines) Ostermiller.

She graduated high school in Johnstown, Colorado

On June 27, 1948, she married Cleon Wilson in Berthoud, where they continued to live and farm. Alma worked as a homemaker and helped on the farm as needed.

She was a member of the Campion Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and as a Lay activities secretary for many years.

Alma enjoyed working in the yard, growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and was a wonderful cook.

Alma is survived by her husband Cleon Wilson of Berthoud, son, Larry Wilson of Loveland, sisters, Edith Giebelhaus of Loveland, Mary Ann Ostermiller of Loveland, Joan McCartney of Pocatello, ID, Dorothy Laber and husband Clarence of Loveland, Carol Ross of Loveland, and brother, Gene Ostermiller and wife Evelyn of Johnstown, CO. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jeremy Wilson of LaSalle, CO, and Trenton Wilson and wife Betty of Wichita, KS, and great grandchildren, Luke, Logan, Brianna, Alexa, and Aiden.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Raymond and Roy Ostermiller and sister Ruth Winter.

Funeral Services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Campion Seventh Day Adventist Church. At the families request, the casket will be closed. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud.
