Obituary: Carolina Sell

 

Carolina Sell, 92, of Loveland, CO, died on July 21, 2012 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center in Loveland. She was born on December 4, 1919 in Windsor, Colorado, to Jacob and Mary (Kindsfather) Hill.

In her early years, Carolina worked as a nanny for the owners of Denver Botanical Gardens.

She married David Sell on March 16, 1941 in Loveland. He preceded her in death on October 7, 1992.

Carolina worked as a cook at the Wayside Inn in Berthoud for 25 years, retiring in the early 1980’s.

She has lived in the Loveland/Berthoud area all of her life.

She was a past member of the First Congregational Church in Loveland, and the German Congregational Church in Berthoud.

Carolina loved gardening. She also loved decorating for and celebrating all of the holidays.

She is survived by her daughters, Judy Moore and husband Lloyd of Berthoud and Patti McGinnis and husband Don of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and son, Richard Sell and wife Jane of Burlington, Wyoming, and sisters Tillie Miller and Minnie Gonsior, both of Cheyenne, Linda Fahrenbruck of Loveland, and Martha Neergaard of Longmont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Alan Sell, Tammy Bayda, Todd McGinnis, and Jennifer McGinnis, as well as her great-grandchildren, Stoni, Nicole, Tanner and Tucker.

Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Good Samaritan Spiritual Life Center in Loveland. At the family’s request, there will be no viewing. Interment will take place at Loveland Burial Park.
