[1]Clarence “CR” Svendsen, 90, died April 23, 2016 at his home in Berthoud. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Anna Svendsen, sister-in-law Edna (Svendsen) Papik and brothers Howard, Laverne and Earl Svendsen. He is survived by sons Brian Svendsen of Larkspur, Colorado and Mark Svendsen of Castle Rock; grandchildren Kathryn (Svendsen) Adams, Tasha Svendsen and Nicole Svendsen.
Clarence served in the Merchant Marines then went to college, graduating from The University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He was an Industrial Arts Professor at Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado. He retired and moved to Berthoud in 1991 where he lived until his passing. Clarence’s hobbies included restoring antiques, eating out and visiting his family and friends. He lived life to the fullest.
A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Loveland on April 30, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. Funeral services and burial will be held on May 21, 2016 with Hansen Funeral Home in Irene, South Dakota. Go to www.viegutfuneralhome.com [2] for condolences
