Obituary: Julia G. Hielscher

Julia G. Hielscher of Longmont passed away on March 22, at her home. She was 89.

Hielscher was born on Sept. 7, 1919 in Alma, Neb. to Frank LeRoy and Dora Viola (Duree) Gorsuch. She married William A. Hielscher on Aug. 27, 1936, in Fort Morgan, Colo.

She was a mother, homemaker and cosmetologist and managed The House of Capri in Denver for 10 years. Hielscher was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 32 of Longmont and a charter member of the Women of Moose 1548 Longmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 61 years, William A. Hielscher; a son, Billy Leroy Hielscher and two brothers, Chester and Tillie Gorsuch.

Hielscher is survived by daughters, Larita R. Hielscher of El Paso, Texas; and Leota L. Bernhardt and husband Harry of Berthoud; three grandchildren, Autumn Bernhardt, Berthoud; Teresa Dudden and husband Rick, Fort Lupton, Colo.; and William Lee Hielscher and wife Nury of Atlanta Beach, Fla. and one great grandchild, Chelsea Dudden.

Services were held Thursday, March 26  at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment was at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
