Obituary: Ronald Alverson

Ronald Alverson

Born Jan. 7, 1942 in Lincoln, Neb. to Harry and Agnes Alverson, he moved to Colorado in 1957 and graduated from Boulder High School in 1959. He later married Mary Ann (Parrish) Alverson on April 15, 1960 in Boulder.

Alverson was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and soon to be great-grandfather. He was a diligent and dedicated man who loved working with his hands. He was the owner/operator of Mountain View Welding in Longmont.

He was a Christian who loved horses, penning competitions, hunting, being outdoors and spending time with all of his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Berthoud, children Chris Alverson and wife Julie, Kevin Alverson all of Loveland, Julie Schmidt and husband Jason of Broomfield, nine grandchildren, mother Agnes Alverson and brother Jon Alverson of Longmont.  He is reunited in heaven with father Harry Freeman Alverson, brother Michael Alverson and sister Jackie Wilson.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. A reception will follow at Izaak Walton clubhouse. Memorial contributions may be made to Bonfils Blood Center of Boulder. Share condolences for the family at www.ahlbergfuneralchapel.com .
