Fire Station 1, 275 Mountain Ave.
Saturday, October 23
11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.
On Saturday, October 23, the Berthoud Fire Protection District, in cooperation with the Berthoud Historical Society, will host an “Open House” at Fire Station 1 and the Berthoud Museum. This is an excellent opportunity to meet your local firefighters of today and the past. The Berthoud Museum will display historical fire department memorabilia to include uniforms, photographs and equipment of the past. The first motorized fire truck serving the Town of Berthoud will also be on display.
Fire Station 1, located at 275 Mountain Avenue, will be open for station tours. While meeting the firefighters who serve our community take time to tour the museum and fire station and see the District’s fire trucks and equipment. Poudre Fire Authority, serving the City of Fort Collins and surrounding area, has graciously loaned the District their “Life Safety” trailer. The “Life Safety” trailer is used to educate children to safely evacuate their home in the event of a fire.
There will be a “Roo Jump” for the children to work up an appetite while Firefighters cook and serve hotdogs and beverages to satisfy their hunger. This is a great opportunity to learn about the fire service, your local fire department and the history of the Berthoud Fire Protection District.
