Senior Serenade Spreads Cheer

Students from Berthoud Music Studio, a local piano and music instruction program directed by Sandy Lundberg, packed the Berthoud Living Center Saturday morning, Dec. 20. Students were there to bring the Christmas spirit to those who unable get out to other programs.

The young musicians, ranging in ages from 8 to 18, performed both Christmas songs and carols for the residents. Mrs. Janelle Flanscha, a Berthoud resident and parent of two of the players, led all present in the singing of carols and holiday classics.

Maycee White played a duet on her harp with her sister Madison White on piano. They are the daughters of Kendrick and Michelle White. Alex Formby, daughter of Patrick and Julie Formby, performed a Jewish piece entitled “S’Vivon”.

After the music, families visited with the BLC residents over the punch and cookies each family had brought to share.

This event has become an annual favorite with the both the students and the BLC residents.

Participating students included Katherine and Adeline Bowman, Stephen and Benjamin Flanscha, Elizabeth and Hannah Potter, Emma and Eben Vogel, Kyla and Tyler Markell, Madison and Maycee White, Rachael and Nathan Hammel, Christy Lundberg, and Fawn and Shayla Coats, all of Berthoud, and Alex Formby and Rebecca Gonzalez of Loveland.
