SUBJECT: Incident in North Fort Collins

On October 12, 2010, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received a request to conduct a welfare check at 2910 1/2 East Mulberry. This request was made from an out-of-state family member who reported that they had not heard from their sister since October 7, 2010. The sister was identified as Kathy Adams, age 57. She is described as 5’3″ tall, 100 pounds, with red hair and brown eyes. Deputies responded to the address and got no response when they knocked on the door. Deputies checked the rear of the residence and again received no answer. However there were suspicious circumstances that allowed deputies to enter the home. Deputies found no one inside the home but located evidence that prompted investigators to suspect foul play. At this time investigators are seeking assistance from the public and want to locate Kathy Adams and a male individual by the name of John Marks, Jr. (04-03-62) described as a white male, 5’10”, 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who has seen either of these individuals or know there correct whereabouts are asked to contact the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office at 970-416-1985 and request to speak with Investigator John Newhouse.
As this is an on-going investigation in its preliminary stages, absolutely no further information will be released.
