Prison inmate convicted of murder

Jury convicts man housed in ADX “step down unit” of second degree murde DENVER – Today a federal jury convicted Dominic Stewart, age 36, of the 2005 murder of Gregory Joiner while both were housed in the U.S. Bureau of Prison’s “step down unit” within the ADX in Florence, Colorado.  The jury convicted Stewart of second degree murder following a 7-day trial before U.S. District Court Judge Robert E. ADX inmate convicted of assaulting prison employee

Denver – Timothy Doyle Young, age 52, an inmate at the Administrative Maximum Security (ADX) institution at the Federal Correctional Complex at Florence, Colorado, was found guilty today by a jury of assault on a federal officer with a deadly or dangerous weapon. The jury trial, heard before U.S. District Judge Marcia S. Krieger, lasted just over two days. The jury deliberated for approximately 25 minutes before returning their verdict.
