Donald G. Soeby 9/1/1931 – 9/9/2013 Donald George Soeby; died September 9, 2013.  Donald was a former Army man who served in the Korean War.  He also worked for Mountain Bell as a technician until retiring.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as competition archery.  He enjoyed reading and traveling with his good friend Myrna Gardner.  He is survived by his children Curtis Soeby and Dawn Brock.  Many thanks are to be passed on to the staff at Viegut Funeral Home and Sterling ... For generations one of the most ominous events in the life of a member of the U.S. Armed Forces has been PCS; Permanent Change of Station. In earlier times it was the annual cycle of large numbers of familiar faces departing and new personalities arriving. I am eternally grateful to be rid of this summertime ritual. (more…)
