September 11, 2011, 9 a.m to 2 p.m. The Berthoud Fire Protection District will host a special memorial ceremony, open house, and picnic to honor the lives of those who fell on September 11, 2001. Fire at Pioneer Sand and Gravel
The Crystal Fire may be larger, but there was some excitement in Berthoud on Saturday afternoon as firefighters responded to a fire Pioneer Sand Company. David and Julie Dowen of Mead happened to be on had to takes some photos. Larimer County— Today, October 7, Colorado Senator Kevin Lundberg joined the family of Justin Bauer to designate a five-mile portion of State Highway (SH) 56 between I-25 and US 287 as the “Staff Sergeant Justin Bauer Memorial Highway.” The designation comes months after the Colorado Legislature passed a resolution to honor Staff Sergeant Justin Bauer of Berthoud, Colorado. Berthoud Fire Protection District Incident Activity for July 2010 Friday, July 2 BFPD responded to a reported grass fire on Bruce Drive. A small fire in a homeowner’s back yard was extinguished. BFPD responded to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 25 southbound lanes @ mile marker 253.
