Flag Dedication at Berthoud High School A piece of local history will be dedicated in the Berthoud High School auditorium on Friday, January 21, at 10:00 a.m. A 48-star American flag, which used to hang in the auditorium at the old Berthoud Junior-Senior High School, was recently returned to the high school after a 48-year absence. Lady Spartans win third straight game By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer A three-week layoff did not affect the Berthoud High girls basketball team on Friday night as they topped Mead 50-34 in the Berthoud High School gym. Zack Ruebesam scored 16 points in Berthoud's 47-55 loss to the Mead  Mavericks. The Spartans  are now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in league play. The Berthoud High School singers and actors are in the final stages of dress rehearsal for  the production of Cinderella. This particular version is the Rogers and Hammerstein play which was written for television and first appeared in 1957 featuring Julie Andrews as Cinderella. Two more television productions were done, the first in 1965 with Leslie Ann Warren as Cinderella and Ginger Rogers as the king.
