Obituary: Robert John Schleiger

Robert John Schleiger, 75, of Loveland died April 3, 2010, at home with his family at his bedside. He fought a courageous battle against cancer. Bob was born to John and Christina Schleiger on June 13, 1934 east of Berthoud, CO. He attended Whipple School east of Berthoud through seventh grade and then graduated from Berthoud High School in 1952. 9Health Fair Coming to Berthoud

The 9Health Fair will be coming to Berthoud High School on April 10, 7 a.m. to noon. There are some changes for this year. The Berthoud Lions Club is the host, but there will be no pre-registration offered in Berthoud. The entry will now be at the main entrance on Spartan Avenue and some of the tests will be in different rooms than have been used in the past. Now that the Berthoud Bash is over, here are the next steps as described by Scott Cavey "After we get all the bills paid we will determine the net amount of money available to purchase technology items with. In the meantime we asked the principals last fall to tell us their key needs in the education arena for their school. Girls Basketball The basketball season is over for Berthoud. We can certainly be proud of the teams. They played hard and provided exciting entertainment for the fans and both ranked high enough to be in the CHSAA State Tournament. There have been few surprises in the results. Donations needed for After Prom event

The Berthoud After Prom event committee is in need of donations.  After prom is open to all juniors and seniors, not just those attending prom. The event provides a fun, safe, substance-free environment for juniors, seniors and their dates.  The After Prom event will be held at 11:00 p.m. from Saturday, April 24 until 3:30 a.m. Sunday, April 25.     Donations pay for the activities, entertainment, food, and raffle prizes.  In the past, the prizes have included TV’s, DVD players, ipods ... Berthoud High School VEX Robotics team needs donations

Berthoud High School (BHS), Thompson School District’s showcase school for science, engineering and mathematics, hosted the 2010 Colorado VEX Robotics Championship on Saturday, February 6. This tournament is an annual event that brings the best in robotics competitors from around the state.
