  Gwen Hawley passed away July 1, 2012 at McKee Medical Center - Loveland, Colorado. She was born June 11, 1926 in Orofino, Idaho to Dr. Richard and Gladys (Moore) Hopkins. She was the second of two children with an older brother Dick Hopkins. The quenching of her lifelong thirst for knowledge began in the public elementary school system of Orofino, Idaho continuing through her freshman year of high school.   Marjorie (Marge) Tysdal of Berthoud passed away at home surrounded by family on June 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Marge was born on April 20, 1922 at her family home in Eagle Grove, Iowa and graduated from high school in 1940. Kim Akeley-Charron has been named executive director of the Thompson Education Foundation beginning July 1. She is currently the marketing coordinator for the City of Loveland’s Cultural Services Department, where she has worked since 2003 in various capacities.
