His memorial service was held at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, on Friday November, 4, 2011 at 10 a.m. Clarence was born December 1, 1917 to Otto and Martha Greckel in Bloomfield, Nebraska. Last week a ferret visited the Berthoud Community Library's storytime. Children listened to stories about ferrets, learned about their weasel origins, and then met Elend, a live ferret. Nearly two dozen people were captivated by the furry visitor for almost an hour.

  Charles L. Winston, 85 of Berthoud, Colorado passed away on Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Paonia Care and Rehab Center in Paonia, Colorado, with his family by his side. Charles was born on August 4, 1926 to Roy L. and Flora E (Bender) Winston in Mission Creek Township, Kansas. The family moved to Berthoud in 1935 from Topeka, Kansas.
