  Tyrone “Tye” Banderet 45, of Berthoud, Colorado, passed on, June 22, 2012. He was born March 3, 1967 in Longmont, to Francis Banderet and Jane Fickel. Tye was self-employed as a solar design consultant, and Web design developer, had designed various products and had been with IBM as a client representative for the banking and securities industry.   Marjorie (Marge) Tysdal of Berthoud passed away at home surrounded by family on June 23, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. Marge was born on April 20, 1922 at her family home in Eagle Grove, Iowa and graduated from high school in 1940. She met the love of her life, Tony Tysdal, and they were married in Hampton, Iowa on March 23, 1944. They celebrated 65 years of marriage. Marge and Tony had two children, Gary and Marsha. Kim Akeley-Charron has been named executive director of the Thompson Education Foundation beginning July 1. She is currently the marketing coordinator for the City of Loveland’s Cultural Services Department, where she has worked since 2003 in various capacities. Prior to that, she worked at the University of Denver Women’s College as the student services and special events coordinator, the Greenway Foundation and the Museum of Nature and Science, all in Denver.         Students and youth with special needs from Loveland, Berthoud and Fort Collins would like to say a huge, "Thank you" to all of the individuals and businesses who donated to this years Adapted Recreation Activities program. A portion of the money was used to give thirty-seven kids full scholarships to ski at the National sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park.   Dorothy Jean Sterkel, 81, of Loveland died on May 20, 2012 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. She was born on November 11, 1930 in Berthoud to John and Alice (Schriner) Schleuger.
