13 Benghazis That Occurred on Bush’s Watch
Without a Peep from Fox News By Bob Cesca · May 08,2013 Foreign Policy The Republican inquisition over the attacks against Americans in Benghazi has never really gone away, but it appears as though in the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing and the House Oversight Committee’s Benghazi hearings this week there’s renewed psycho-histrionics over Benghazi. Lindsey Graham and Fox News Channel in particular are each crapping their cages over new allegations from an ... Full Story
Collapse of the Petraeus facade
As pointed out last week in this publication, General David Petraeus' reputation appears to be built upon a foundation of public relations sand, a foundation that is quickly becoming quicksand. More and more publications and reporters are now beginning to take a hard look at the General and what they have written about him in the past. It appears that his greatness has been a media creation, one that he directed and fostered. My observations in the above mentioned article are based on my ... Full Story
What do you mean “We Lost?”
Apoplectic: of a kind to cause or apparently cause stroke as in an apoplectic rage; also: greatly excited or angered as in she was apoplectic over the news. Hegemony: the social, cultural, ideological, or economic influence exerted by a dominant group. These are my new favorite words of the week. They perfectly define the GOP and the right’s feelings, and the cause of those feelings, after last Tuesday’s re-election of President Obama. It has been quoted that the Romney camp ... Full Story

The two articles from Forbes Magazine presented below are excellent examples. In “ Who Is The Smallest Government Spender Since Eisenhower?” a May, 2012 article, Rick Ungar makes the case that it is Barack Obama. He includes a graph that shows the annualized growth ... Obama’s Disgrace
by Sheldon Richman The words could have been spoken by a government official in Orwell’s 1984: “Today, I am announcing several steps that broaden our ability to bring terrorists to justice, provide oversight for our actions, and ensure the humane treatment of detainees,” President Barack Obama said. What Obama actually did, the Washington Post reported, was to sign “an executive order ... that will create a formal system of indefinite detention for those ... Full Story
Our Economy
To the Editor, This is a fine mess we’ve gotten ourselves into. Both our unemployment rate and our national debt are ‘way too high, and improving either one will make the other worse. Spending money to increase jobs will increase our debt. Laying off government workers to lower spending will increase unemployment. More unemployment = less consumer spending = fewer new jobs. If we do nothing, we stagnate. The Obama Administration is struggling mightily with this inherited ... Full Story
