Candidate Forum: House Districts 49 And 51 / Senate District 15

Voters have an opportunity to ask questions of six state legislature candidates at a Forum on Wednesday, Sept. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Loveland City Council Chambers, 500 East Third Street, in Loveland.

Participants include Rich Ball and Kevin Lundberg for Senate District 15, Brian DelGrosso and Bill McCreary for House District 51, and B.J. Nikkel and Karen Stockley for House District 49.

Each candidate will be asked, “Why are you running for office and what skills or experience do you bring to that office?” Also, the forum moderator will pose written questions concerning state and local issues, submitted by audience members.

“This is a chance for voters to become informed first-hand about the candidates in these hotly contested races. An effective government depends not only on an active, voting public, but one that is informed as well. We encourage everyone to join us at the Forum to hear for themselves what the candidates have to say,” said Susan Bonsall, coordinator for the event.

The Forum is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Larimer County, a nonpartisan organization, in cooperation with the City of Loveland. For more information, call 669-8230.
