Carl Bruning, a close and trusted friend of mine, is running for sheriff of Larimer County with the sole purpose of defending our Constitutional rights from all threats foreign and domestic. He has made a personal promise to me that he will do everything within his power as sheriff to defend our liberties from an ever encroaching federal government.

With a $43 million budget, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office needs a leader with strong expertise in business administration. In addition to being a distinguished U. S. Air Force pilot commander, Carl has obtained a Master of Business Administration degree, and has successfully managed multi-million dollar budgets, dealt with financial crises, and provided leadership to many employees. The dedication to excellence he has shown in every aspect of his life thus far will be a great asset within the Sheriff’s Office.

Carl Bruning is the only choice for Larimer County Sheriff for those who value their right to keep and bear arms. He is the only candidate to be endorsed by the Rocky Mountain Gun Owner’s political action committee. It was great to see Carl Bruning and his wonderful supporters at the many events around Larimer County in recent weeks. They were handing out stickers to children and interacting with the public in a positive way that we all can appreciate. It will be good to have Carl Bruning leading the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office in a positive way in the years ahead. It will be good to have a sheriff bringing a breath of fresh air to the department with a renewed focus on serving “we the people” and saving aggressive law enforcement for hardened criminals. We need a sheriff who can provide better options for Larimer County than just building and filling more jail space. It will be great to have a sheriff with strong business management experience and fresh ideas for dealing with the financial issues ahead. I just can’t wait until we elect Carl Bruning for Larimer County Sheriff.

The Loveland 912 Project is hosting a Candidate Forum for the office of Larimer County Sheriff. All of the candidates have been invited. Carl Bruning, Justin Smith and Al Ohms will be in attendance.

This forum is open to the public. The candidates will be given five minutes for an opening statement, followed by two prepared questions and then we will be taking questions from the audience.
