To the Editor, On behalf of the Berthoud Community Library District staff, I would like to thank the Friends of the Berthoud Community Library for all the financial support they give the Library. So far this year the group has given the Library $1845.00. This money funded the summer reading program for teens, supplemented our DVD budget, and paid for staff continuing education. Ferret Fun at the Library
Last week a ferret visited the Berthoud Community Library's storytime. Children listened to stories about ferrets, learned about their weasel origins, and then met Elend, a live ferret. Nearly two dozen people were captivated by the furry visitor for almost an hour.
Berthoud Library Book Club 2010-2011
Here is the latest (and greatest?) about the Berthoud Book Club, 2010-2011. The next book is Now & Then by Jacqueline Sheehan; discussions will take place December 14th, at the Library. Please stop by at your convenience. The club meets at the Berthoud Community Library to discuss selected books two times, at 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, on the following dates (all Tuesdays).
