Fort Collins, CO – Last night the Rocky Mountain Type I Incident Management Team under the direction of Paul Summerfelt, Incident Commander, assumed management of the Crystal Fire. Governor declares disaster emergency for Crystal Fire

              DENVER ­— Monday, April 4, 2011 — Gov. John Hickenlooper issued a disaster emergency declaration today for the Crystal Fire in Larimer County. This declaration will authorize $1.7 million in state aid to help pay firefighting costs. Update 5 p.m., Larimer County Sheriff's Office Firefighters put in good effort today building containment lines around the fire.  An updated containment percentage and total number of acres will not be available until tomorrow morning after crews finish updating information tonight.
