What I tried to explain to my wife—who thought Wilcox should have been running in the other ... Full Story

Thanks NRA! Gun Nut Kills Two Brothers He Mistakenly Believed Were On His Property A “responsible gun owning” West Virginia man with a large stockpile of weapons in his house apparently decided that it was time to use some of them. So when two men showed up at an outbuilding near his house in the town of Barboursville, he decided to blast them away, with no warning whatsoever. No “Hey, you are trespassing, get off my property!” No calling the police to let them handle it, no ... Full Story

Your New Puppy and Parvo

Your New Puppy and Parvo

Danielle Huval, DVM Emergency Clinician Supervisor   Having a new puppy is such a fun time for a family. Showing them off to friends and family, teaching them to walk on a leash, and socializing with other dogs are important steps to forming a great lifelong relationship. First visits to the veterinarian are packed full of information, which can be overwhelming. At an early age, puppies are vaccinated against many viruses, with Parvovirus, more commonly referred to as Parvo, ... Full Story

Drone pilot speaks out

Drone pilot speaks out

I worked on the US drone program. The public should know what really goes on Few of the politicians who so brazenly proclaim the benefits of drones have a real clue how it actually works (and doesn't) By Heather Linebaugh Whenever I read comments by politicians defending the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Predator and Reaper program – aka drones – I wish I could ask them a few questions. I'd start with: "How many women and children have you seen incinerated by a Hellfire ... Full Story

Republican agenda leads to death for the poor

Rick Scott Blasted For Deaths Of 40 Children South Florida Democrats fired a stinging rebuke at Gov. Rick Scott (R) Thursday, holding him responsible for the deaths of 40 children who were known to state child welfare workers when they died during the first half of 2013. "Clearly, your idealogical agenda of smaller government and less regulation doesn't always neatly fit with the priority of child protection, which has resulted in heartbreaking outcomes for too many Florida children," ... Republicans: “the poor should die”

For Republicans, a Homeless 11-Year-Old Black Girl Named Dasani is a "Useless Eater" That Should Die By chaunceydevegaFollow Al Sharpton did some great work on Monday's PoliticsNation where he further exposed the politics of cruelty that have possessed the Republican Party. Stories of Police Brutality

Stories of Police Brutality

Editors note:  The activity of some police is truly frightening. The worst part is that these are only a small part of the stories that cross my desk.     Cops Choke Black Boy Holding Puppy for Giving Them ‘Dehumanizing Stares’ by Piper Hoffma Police brutality against blacks, especially black males, is a nationwide crisis.
