Eagles end 2011 with point in shootout loss to Aces

  ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces came back from a 3-0 deficit to claim a 4-3 shootout win against the Colorado Eagles in the last of three games between the teams this week. By taking the game past regulation, the Eagles were able to claim their first point of the mini-series. Colorado came out of the gates strong, out-shooting the Aces 14-7 in the first period on the way to a 3-0 lead. Eagles dealt first ECHL shutout by Aces

  ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The defending ECHL champion Alaska Aces shutout the Colorado Eagles, 4-0, as Adam Courchaine stopped just 19 shots in the victory. It marked the Eagles first shutout in the ECHL, and their first since March 5. The 19 shots represented a season low for Colorado, after they registered just 20 in Wednesday night's Alaskan affair. LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles won their first regular season home-opener in the ECHL, 3-1, over the Stockton Thunder.  All three of Colorado's goals came off the stick of Jack Combs, who introduced himself to the home fans in style by recording the 35th regular season hat trick in the team's just-over-eight-year history. Windsor, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today the details of their annual Military Appreciation Night.
