SALT LAKE CITY - Air Force baseball was held to three hits in a 2-1 loss at Utah in Mountain West Conference action Saturday afternoon at Spring Mobile Ballpark. The Falcons dropped to 11-14, 0-2 on the season while the Utes improved to 10-9, 4-1. Sophomore right-hander Sean Carley (2-3) turned in his second complete game of the year in the tough-luck loss. WICHITA, Kan. - Air Force baseball dropped a 6-0 contest at #24 Wichita State Wednesday afternoon at Eck Stadium. The loss dropped the Falcons to 11-12 on the season, while the Shockers improved to 15-6. Five Wichita State pitchers combined to shutout the Falcons, scattering eight hits. Shocker starting pitcher Zach Beringer (1-1) picked up the win, striking out five in 3.2 innings. Beringer was given the win based on a predetermined pitch count. The loss snapped the Falcons’ four-game winning streak and dropped the team to 11-11 on the season, while the Shockers improved to 14-6.
