Fox had spent the previous nine seasons in the same role for the Carolina Panthers, compiling a 78-74 record including the playoffs. The Broncos started strong in their lone Monday Night Football appearance of the season but couldn't keep it going, falling to the San Diego Chargers, 35-14, at Qualcomm Stadium. By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer The Berthoud High football team finished the 2010 season with a 3-7 record and last place finish in the 3A Northern conference. The disappointing record did not stop the team from celebrating their achievements and honoring the graduating seniors on Wednesday evening. Two seniors were singled out for special recognition.   Berthoud football drops to Mountain View 38-7 By Dan Karpiel Sports Writer Friday night at Ray Patterson Field in Loveland the Berthoud Spartan football team lost their fourth consecutive game by 38-7 score to the Mountain View Mountain Lions. The loss drops Berthoud’s record to 3-6 on the season and 0-4 in the conference. Mountain View entered the week as the number five ranked team statewide in class 3A. Berthoud's three touchdowns in the first quarter put them ahead at the half. However, Erie came up with a score in the third period and held Berthoud scoreless in the second half.
