Raymond B. Scott was born October 14, 1923, at Alma, Nebraska to Charles Everett and Faye Georgia (Coe) Scott. He died in Loveland, Colorado on November 18, 2010. He attended grade schools in the Alma, Nebraska area and graduated from high school in 1942 in Castle Rock, Colorado. The family moved to Colorado in 1938 from Nebraska and farmed in the Mead-Platteville area, later moving to near Larkspur, Colorado. Berthoud Veterans place flags at cemetery

Berthoud Lions Club veterans did not let the weather deter them from putting up flags at the Greenlawn cemetery in honor of Veterans Day. The twice-yearly event (Memorial Day and Veterans Day) has been done for so many years that none of the participants can remember when it started. Curtis Wilson said he may have been in the original group, but couldn’t be sure. Pearl W. Wykoff, 91, of Loveland and formerly Berthoud, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at Loveland Good Samaritan Village Health Care. Pearl was born on Oct. 6, 1919, in Ness City, Kan., to Thomas H. and Edith Annette (Tarman) Wierman. She met and later married Ellis C. Kenneth M. Kegerreis, wonderful husband, father and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Berthoud on Oct. 18, 2010, after an extended illness. Joye D. Freddy, widow of Dan Freddy and a former Berthoud resident, passed away in Loveland on May 15, 2010.   Cremation was conducted.  The family now invite family and friends for the graveside service which will be held in the Berthoud Greenlawn Cemetery in Berthoud on Tuesday June 29, 2010 at 10:00am.
