Monday, January 3, 2011, at 9 a.m. starts the beginning of a 180-day camping reservation window for Larimer County-managed campgrounds!  Reservations for Memorial Day weekend, Father’s Day weekend, and the first week in July can be made during the first week of January. Larimer County Annual Entrance Permits for 2011

The 2011 Larimer County Department of Natural Resources' Annual Entrance Permits, for parks and open spaces managed by Larimer County, will be available for purchase on December 1. These are 13-month permits, valid December 2010, through December 2011, and allow use of Carter Lake, Flatiron Reservoir, Hermit Park Open Space, Horsetooth Reservoir, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, Pinewood Reservoir, and Ramsay-Shockey Open Space. Volunteer Park Ranger Assistants:  Assist County ranger staff at Horsetooth Reservoir on the boat docks, directing parking, hiking nearby trails, and educating the public about safe practices on and near the water.  Positions are open from Memorial Day weekend thru mid-September and volunteers only work on weekends and holidays.  You must be willing to commit to three days a month, on holidays or weekends.   Training, uniforms, and great appreciation ...
