Our beloved Sonia went to be with the angels after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Sonia passed away at her home in Berthoud surrounded by her family and closest friends. Sonia was the middle child of Ray Johnson and Nancy Brown. Sonia spent almost her entire childhood growing up in Longmont. Michael David Callies of Berthoud, died January 2, 2016 at Longmont United Hospital. He was 71-years-old. Mike was born October 23, 1944 in Waupaca, Wisconsin to Herbert Callies and Irene Olson Callies. Raised in Stillwater, Minnesota, he was active in cross country, basketball and track in high school. Ruth B. Luce of Longmont, Colo. died December 23, 2010 at the Peaks Care Center in Longmont. She was 86. Ruth was born on September 6, 1924 in Stratford, Connecticut to Hugh S. and Margaret (Spencer) Bailie. After dating all throughout high school, Ruth married William Raymond “Bill” Luce in Elkton, Maryland on February 27, 1943. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before his death in 2006. Mariella Marsh, formerly of Longmont, died July 8, 2010 at the Berthoud Living Center.  She was 80-years-old. Mariella was born on March 22, 1930 in Prague, Oklahoma to Orlie Joe and Letha (Daniel) McGuire.  She married Walter P. “Bud” Marsh on August 7, 1952 in Prague, Oklahoma.  Mariella received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Education Specialist Degrees and was a teacher and counselor.  She taught home economics and directed drama programs in Carlsbad, New Mexico before ...
