    Clyde Raymond Briggs April 16, 1951-Aug. 4, 2011   Clyde Raymond Briggs, of Johnstown, died Aug. 4, 2011, surrounded by his family at the North Colorado Medical Center hospice unit, following injuries from a fall Aug. 1. He was 60. Harmon arrested in Johnstown

The Larimer County Sheriff's Department is reporting Berthoud police have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery in Laramie, Wyoming.  The sheriff's department says 22 year old Rayburn Scott Harmon was arrested in Johnstown without incident. Harmon was wanted for an alleged robbery in Laramie and and was also accused of stealing a 2006 Cadillac Escalade that he reported sinking into Carter Lake last Monday after he had taken it for a test drive from a Berthoud auto ... Alma Wilson, 84, of Berthoud, died September 23, 2010 at Loveland Good Samaritan Health Care Center. She was born April 11, 1926 in Berthoud, Colorado to Peter and Margaret (Deines) Ostermiller. She graduated high school in Johnstown, Colorado On June 27, 1948, she married Cleon Wilson in Berthoud, where they continued to live and farm. Obituary: Melvin Brown

Melvin “Mel” Walter Brown of Johnstown died on April 24 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado in Greeley. He was 83. He was born July 3, 1925 to Robert and Cora (Niven) Brown, on the family farm southwest of Johnstown. His father died in August 1941 of injuries sustained from a runaway team of horses, and his family moved into town after that.
