Fort Collins, Colorado – April 2, 2011 – The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today announced the construction of a temple in Fort Collins.  The temple will serve the needs of over 20,000 Church members in northern Colorado and southeastern Wyoming.  It is expected that when completed the Fort Collins Colorado Temple may occupy approximately 17,000 square feet on land yet to be announced in Fort Collins. Summer Eland, a Berthoud High School graduate of 2005 and founder of “A Touch of Summer” salon, returned this month from serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for 18 months in Florida. She will report of her service at two separate meetings in Berthoud, Sunday morning, October 17 – at 9:00 a. m. at the Berthoud Ward, and at 11:00 a. m. at the Twin Peaks Young Single Adult Ward.
