    Harold Roland Eckhardt, 87, of Berthoud passed away on September 22, 2014 at the Medical Center of the Rockies. He was born February 16, 1927 in Greeley, Colorado to Pauline Eckhardt and Henry Meyer. He married Earlene Faye Nicks on June 11, 1950 in Johnstown, Colorado. Harold worked for Kerchoff Construction a few years and Pinkard Construction as a Superintendent for 33 years. Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies By Wendy Kenner Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies competed in the 2014 Autumn Classic. The meet was hosted by Colorado Gymnastics Institute in Aurora on September 13 and 14. In the team competition, the Level 3 team won first place. The Level 4 team placed 5th in the team competition, and the Level 5 team placed 3rd. There were several top 5 finishes on the Level 3 team.   2014 Season Opener By Wendy Kenner September 15, 2014 Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies hosted the 2014 Season Opener Compulsory Gymnastics Meet. The meet was held at Loveland High School on September 6 and 7. The Level 3, 4 and 5 teams from Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies all competed at this season’s first meet.     Ruby V. Wykoff (96) died September 6, 2014 at Loveland Good Samaritan Village. Ruby was born March 16, 1918 in Ness City, Kansas to Rudolph and Ellen E. (Kinsinger) Kopper. She married Charley T. Wykoff on March 20, 1938 in Ness City. They were married 70 years. On the day they were married, they moved to rural Berthoud. James J. Laffoon, of Berthoud and recently of Loveland, died August 20, 2014 at McKee Medical Center in Loveland. He was 89-years-old. Jim was born November 6, 1924 in Woodrow, Colorado to Ross Morton Laffoon and Bessie Canatsey Laffoon. He grew up on a farm on the eastern plains of Colorado and later moved to Aurora where he graduated from William Smith High School.   Maria Carol Cannova, 69, of Loveland, passed away on July 17, 2014 in Loveland. Maria was born on Christmas Day 1944 in Queens, New York to Antonio and Maria (Luisi) Cannova. She grew up in Mastic Beach, Long Island, New York and graduated from Mercy High School.
