Obituary: Wilbur Austin Heiser

  Wilbur “Wil” Austin Heiser, 79, of Loveland died September 13, 2011 at his home. He was born January 15, 1932 near Charleston, Iowa to Andrew and Irma (Burghoffer) Heiser. Wil lived in Longmont from 1966 to 1984, he then moved to Loveland. On January 2, 1999 he married Treva Edwards. He worked as an air-traffic controller at the Longmont FAA Center for 30 years.   Saturday, September 10: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.   Over 60 artists will be creating sidewalk art on 5th Street this coming Saturday. This first of its kind event in this area is a fundraiser for the Alternatives to Violence (ATV) Safehouse project. The sidewalks on both sides of 5th Street between Lincoln and Cleveland Avenues will be the canvasses for Pastel drawings. Eagles Add Two More Forwards in Ofukany & Huculak

WINDSOR, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles announced today the signing of two more forwards for their upcoming camp as they head into the 2011-12 hockey season, their first in the ECHL.  Colorado has signed Troy Ofukany (oh-fuke-uh-knee) & Liam Huculak (hooch-uh-lack). Gordon Leroy Speicher, 93, of Loveland, Colorado, died on July 11, 2011 at North Shore Health and Rehab in Loveland. He was born on March 17, 1918 in Wray, Colorado, to Jesse Clay and Mary Viola (Saville) Speicher. He married Rosie Opal Owens on August 20, 1939 in Holyoke, Colorado. She preceded him in death on December 10, 1988. Gordon later married Catherine Louise (Griffin) Ingram on March 17, 1990 in Longmont, Colorado.  She preceded him in death on June 12, 2011.
