Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies 2013 Chicago Style By Julee Graham Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies traveled to Chicago to compete the “2013 Chicago Style” Gymnastics Meet on the famous, Navy Pier. The meet was hosted by Illinois Gymnastics Institute. It is the Largest Gymnastics meet in Northern America. Over four thousand gymnasts compete throughout the weekend. Obituary: Mary Wall

Mary Evelyn Wall of Loveland Colorado and longtime resident of Berthoud, passed away in her home on January 19, 2013. Mary was born in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin and Ethel Groves. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. She worked as a public health nurse early in her career and later in nursing homes. Mary enjoyed her Bridge clubs, her P.E.O. sisters and her time volunteering at the Berthoud Public Library. She is survived by her ... Full Story

  By Julee Graham Premier Gymnastics of the Rockies participated in the 2013 Pikes Peak Cup at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs on January 18 and 19. Aerials Gymnastics hosted the event. Premier level 10 gymnast, Bailie Holst, was honored with an invitation to compete in the Premier Elite Session on Saturday night. Gymnastics Unlimited of Northglenn was the host of the 2013 Rocky Invitational. Premier’s Level 7 Team took first Place and the Level 8 Team took second Place. Obituary: William Albert Kuess

  William “Bill” Albert Kuess, 92, of Berthoud died December 20, 2012, at the Berthoud Living Center. He was born September 25, 1920, in Vernon, Wisconsin, to William C. and Ella (Kaske) Kuess. Bill grew up in Vernon and Big Bend, WI and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1939. He later enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII from 1943-1946 in Guam with the Navy Seabees.   Frank Samuel Macdonald of Loveland, Colo. died Dec 5, 2012 at Pathways Hospice Care Center. He was born on Dec 24, 1924 in Valverde, a truck farming area west of the South Platte River in Denver, to Frank P. and Lois E. (Merman) Macdonald.
