DENVER, Colo. -- Denver scored two power play goals and then added an even-strength goal with a minute left as the 12th-ranked Pioneers beat Air Force, 3-1, in the championship game of the 19th annual Denver Cup college hockey tournament, Saturday, Nov. 27, at Magness Arena in Denver. Air Force, who earned its first ever win in the Denver Cup last night against Clarkson, placed second in the tournament with a 1-1 record. Berthoud youths among 250 persons re-creating pioneer trail trek

Press Release: In the mid 1800s, nearly 70,000 members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints traveled across the plains from Nebraska and Iowa to the Salt Lake Valley. Most were in wagon trains, but ten companies of pioneers (totaling around 3,000 persons) pushed handcarts containing all of their possessions for more than 1,000 miles.
