It is time for the fall musical on the Berthoud High School Stage. This year’s extravaganza is the 1950’s Tony Award winning musical “Guys and Dolls.” Set in lower Manhattan, the story centers on the passions of hard-core gamblers willing to wager on any variety of chance or situations. The Bridge-Between show choir will hold the finale concert of the year on Friday, May 13 in the BHS auditorium at 7:00 p.m. This free concert features performances by The Bridge-Between show choir and we will also honor the talented seniors - Marie Allison, Katie Kouns and Amelia Rael.
Friday evening was full of activity at Berthoud High School. It was an evening of art and entertainment with something for everyone. Some of the students were also very busy with several appearing in more than one show. The gymnasium was the showcase for visual arts while both stages were in use for the music and dramatic arts. The Turner Middle School show choir, the Fire Choir, joined the local chapter of the AARP for a pot luck supper on Wednesday evening and then put on a wonderful show for the gathered senior citizens. No story, just a great bunch of kids.
The Berthoud High School Winter Concert, "Sounds of the Season," was a delight to the ear on Thursday. The Women's Choir started the program with "Merrily Sing Noel," "All Things Bright and Beautifu" and "Cantate!" The Typecast men's choir joined in with the humerous "Little Staint Nick." The Berthoud High School Bridge-Between Choir has a delightful Christmas program based on a story about one of Santa’s elves. The choir has been spreading cheer by entertaining residents of assisted living facilities in the surrounding communities.
