On May 14, 2016 Buddy Steele was called home surrounded by his children and loving wife LaVelle. Buddy was born in Englewood, Colorado on June 15, 1939. He lived in the surrounding areas his entire life. He was the son of Lester and Ruth Steele and the second oldest of seven boys. In August of 1957 Buddy married Marilyn Smith and from this union they were blessed with three children. They were married forty-one years before Marilyn's passing in February 1999.   David and Amanda Latchaw of Loveland are pleased to announce the arrival of their daughters Lily Colette Latchaw and Evelyn Cedar Latchaw. The twins were born on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Medical Center of the Rockies. Lily arrived at 8:22 a.m. weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 inches long.   Wilberta Smith Allen September 25, 1919 – July 16, 2011     Wilberta Smith Allen passed away to be with the Lord on July 16, 2011. She was 91. She was born on September 25, 1919 in Berthoud to Wilbur and Margaret (Smith) Allen and raised in Berthoud where the Bed and Breakfast now sits. Kay A. Carter Kay Adele Carter of Berthoud, passed away at McKee Medical Center Hospice Care Center on Feb. 12, 2009. She was 69 years old. Born to Chester Ellenberger and Viola Smith Ellenberger in Grand Island, Neb. on Dec. 18, 1939, she grew up in Fort Collins, graduating from Fort Collins High School in 1958.
