71st State Spelling Bee Next Weekend

By Thomas N. On March 19, three students from Turner Middle School will travel to Denver to compete in the 71st Colorado State Spelling Bee. After placing in the top six at the Thompson School District spelling bee, Hanna Stippich, Olivia Conde and Ken Kubik have been given a chance to compete for the title of State Champion. Turner Takes Two Trophies at District Spelling Bee

By Thomas N. Berthoud’s Turner Middle School sent four students to compete in the district spelling bee last Saturday at Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland. These students coached by Colleen Bowker, were Hannah Stippich, Karsten Bump, Ken Kubik and Olivia Conde. Three of these students placed in the top four; Hanna Stippich tied for fourth place, Olivia Conde received third place, and Ken Kubik placed second. Ivy Stockwell Elementary Takes Third at District Spelling Bee

By Thomas N. Walt Clark Middle School in Loveland was the grounds of an epic battle of words known as: The Thompson School District Elementary Spelling Bee. The bee was separated into two sections; a written exam of 50 words and an oral round.
