  A one and one-half hour negotiation with an armed subject barricaded in a room at the Days Inn ended peacefully shortly after noon today.  Larimer County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the Days Inn at 3625 East Mulberry Street in Fort Collins at approximately 10:18 this morning on the report of a distraught man with a gun. What started as a drunk driver pursuit by the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) has ended up as a standoff on the northeast edge of Berthoud. According to the Larimer County Sheriff's Office the CSP was attempting to stop a motor home that had been called in as a Report Every Drunk Driver Immediately  (REDDI) report. Berthoud man was shot and killed by a SWAT unit after deputies say he opened fire on them Monday night. It's a policeman's worst nightmare, being called to a scene of domestic violence and finding someone with a weapon. Monday night around 9 p.m. Berthoud police responded to a call at 730 Bruce Drive. Sheriff investigates marijuana cultivation

On October 4, 2010, at 1:45 A.M. a pedestrian flagged down an on-duty deputy in the 1300 block of North Taft Road.  The complainant reported that he and his friends had been assaulted by various individuals who lived on a small parcel of property in the 1300 block on North Taft Road in unincorporated Larimer County.  The complainant along with three other individuals were interviewed by deputies and investigators for several hours.  The results of those interviews allowed investigators to ...
